I came up with the idea that I could make my own hairties in 2014, when I finally got fed up with companies claiming "thick hairtie" and it was BS.
I've been in martial arts since 1995 and currently own my own school in Seattle! I compete in the Heavyweight division in jiu jitsu, so I named the hairties Heavyweight Hairties!
